Officialisation of the AKS
On 21 August 2026, the party And ci Koolute ngir Sénégal (AKS) received its declaration receipt, number 022992/MISP/DGAT/DLPL, issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security. Leader Abdou Karim Sall announced the official recognition on social media, stating that this marks the formal birth of the political formation.
Legal Framework
The document formalises the party’s constitution in accordance with Article 4 of the Constitution, Article 812 of the modified Code of Civil and Commercial Obligations, and Law n°81-17 of 6 May 1981 on political parties, as amended by Law n°89-36 of 12 October 1989. It is issued by the General Directorate of Territorial Administration.
Expansion Prospects
Sall presented this milestone as the beginning of the massification and implantation process of the AKS across all regions of Senegal. He aims to deploy the party nationwide, opening a new chapter for political action in service of Senegal and its citizens. The AKS now joins the long list of legally constituted political formations in a dense and constantly re-composing partisan landscape, marked in recent weeks by several creations, splits and recompositions within various parties.
