Who are the new players?
The Reims goalkeeper Yehvann Diouf and the Nice defender Antoine Mendy are part of the six new names. Assane Diao, the Como striker, is also selected.
Why this selection?
Pape Thiaw explained that Assane Diao had always dreamed of representing Senegal, his native country. The coach also justified his choice for Richard Sagna, striker of AS Douanes.
What comes next?
Senegal will face Sudan on March 22 and Togo on March 25. The lions will have to show their strength to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup.
