The 2026-2027 football season in Senegal will kick off on September 30 and close on June 30, 2027. This was announced by the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) in a circular letter obtained by the APS. Regarding transfers, the FSF has set two periods for professional players: from August 1 to October 22, 2026, for the first, and from February 1 to March 1, 2027, for the second. For amateurs, registrations will be possible from September 1 to December 30, 2026, then from January 1 to March 31, 2027. The organization of championships remains unchanged: the Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) supervises the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, while the Amateur League manages the National 1, National 2, and women's championship. The Teungueth FC, the current champion, will lead the Senegalese delegation in the African Champions League. It will be accompanied by Diambars FC and the Aigles de la Médina, who have also obtained their license for CAF competitions during the 2026-2027 season. These three clubs were retained after a licensing procedure in which the AJEL de Rufisque also participated.
